The course teaches the basic techniques of adult, child, and infant CPR and use of an AED.
Students will also learn to use barrier devices in CPR and give first aid for choking in the responsive victim. After taking this course students will know how to recognize the signs of three major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, and choking.

For Healthcare Providers
The Basic Life Support is the preferred CPR course for Healthcare Provider Course is designed to strengthen your ability as a healthcare professional to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR and adequate ventilations, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
The course is intended for certified or non certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.

Basic Life Support is an essential part of every healthcare provider's day to day life. Healthcare is ever changing, staying up to date on changes, recommendations and being aware of new life saving techniques is key. BLS training for healthcare providers will help improve a patient’s chances for surviving a life threatening emergency situation.
Basic life support can be provided by trained medical personnel, such as doctors, nurses, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician’s assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants who have obtained Renewal BLS training.

online blended courses
This two-part course blended online learning with a hands-on skills validation session. This allows you to independently review and understand the fundamentals of HeartSaver and /or BLS Course. During your one-on-one skills check off, there will be a brief refresher/ Q& A session in addition to your skills validation to ensure competencies are achieved.
Skills check offs offered daily from 5-7pm (In person skills validation up to 30 minutes).
